A Brighter Future for Everyone
At Claremont, we are committed to offering a nutritionally balanced two-course meal which meets the government food standards. Our school dinners are cooked each day in our kitchen, provided by Eat Culture, which is a Nottingham City Catering Service.
KS2 children could be entitled to a free school meal, dependent on parent/carer benefit eligibility. For a free school meal form, please use the online link by pressing here, where eligibility criteria is given in more detail.
If your child has specific dietary requirements, please make the school office aware of this.
Our children make meal choices for cooked dinners on the day and the current menu can be found below.
Packed Lunches
At Claremont, we encourage those who prefer to bring their own packed lunch, to make healthy choices and that parents/carers provide children with a balanced midday meal. No fizzy drinks or sweets are allowed. Please note, for the safety of several children in our school with severe nut allergies, we do not allow any children to bring any type of nuts to school as part of their lunchbox food. This includes products that contain nuts e.g. peanut butter.
Free School Meals
From 1st April, changes to free school meal entitlement will come into effect. If your circumstances have changed and you believe you are no longer eligible for free school meals, it is important that you inform your school as soon as possible. Any new FSM applications will be subject to routine eligibility checks, and only those who meet the criteria will be approved. If you are unsure about your eligibility, please contact the school office for guidance.
If you have any questions regarding these changes, please do not hesitate to contact pupil.benefits@nottinghamcity.gov.uk.
