At Claremont, we are committed to providing healthy, balanced meals that meet the Government Food Standards. All our school dinners are freshly prepared each day in our own kitchen by Eat Culture, the Nottingham City Catering Service.

Meal Costs and Entitlement

• Nursery: £2.65 per day
• Reception, Year 1 & Year 2: All meals are free under the Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme.
• Key Stage 2: £2.90 per day

Payment for school dinners should be made online through Arbor, our secure parent portal.

Dietary needs and allergies

If your child has a medical, dietary, cultural or religious food requirement, please inform the School Office. We work with Eat Culture to provide appropriate alternatives. Medical evidence may be requested for specialist diets. Please note we are a nut-free school. 

Free School Meals (Income-Related)

Children in KS2 (and some nursery children, depending on circumstances) may be entitled to Free School Meals based on parent/carer benefit eligibility.

Please apply online (Nottingham City Council). If you need the link, contact the school office and we’ll help. Even if your child gets a free meal in Reception–Y2 through the universal scheme, please still apply if you may be eligible - this can provide additional funding (Pupil Premium) to support your child’s learning.

• Children choose their meal each morning from the daily menu.

If your child has specific dietary requirements, please inform the school office so we can make the necessary arrangements.

🥪 Packed Lunches

If your child prefers to bring a packed lunch, we encourage healthy, balanced choices. Please note:

• No fizzy drinks or sweets
• For the safety of children with severe allergies, no nuts or nut-based products (e.g., peanut butter) are not allowed in school.
