Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND)
Supporting Every Child to Thrive
At Claremont Primary & Nursery School, we work in close partnership with children and their parents/carers to recognise each child’s unique strengths and abilities. Together, we build on these foundations to help every child reach their full potential – both in school and as active, confident members of the wider community.
Our broad and balanced curriculum is designed for all learners. Using the National Curriculum as a starting point, we adapt our planning to meet the specific needs of individuals and groups. Teachers set ambitious yet achievable learning challenges, while responding to the diverse ways children learn.
We recognise that some children face barriers to learning and may have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) requiring additional support. We are committed to removing these barriers so that every child can succeed.
