This week's phonics is a bit different!
Uploaded is a presentation which you will have to watch and follow the instructions. Some of the slides have a megaphone icon and when you click on it it will tell you what to do.
Today's English lesson will be about proper nouns.
Proper nouns are written with capital letters regardless of where they appear in a sentence.
Watch the presentation about proper nouns and complete the activity.
Today we will carry on with comparison, but this time we'll try to compare numbers to 50.
You may have noticed that there are no dinosaurs around these days.
In fact, there haven't been any around for about 66 million years. One of the theories is that series of huge volcanic eruptions happened at that time. This is what we are going to focus on today.
We are going to make our own volcano!
You will need:
Below you can find some pictures to give you some ideas for the project.
How to do it?
- build and decorate a volcano around a small beaker
- fill in the beaker with bicarbonate soda - the more the better the effect :)
- get the vinegar ready - you can mix it with some food colouring to make it more exciting
- pour vinegar onto the bicarbonate soda and watch how the volcano erupts
MAKE SURE YOU DO IT WITH YOUR GROWN-UP!
YOU CAN WATCH IT FROM THE DISTANCE IF YOU LIKE AND LET THE GROWN-UP POUR THE VINEGAR OVER THE SODA.
TO BE MORE PROFESSIONAL YOU CAN WEAR SAFETY GLASSES AND GLOVES ...SO COOL
