Sing Incy Wincy Spider our song of the week (see link below).
Today we are going to make a spider’s web – you can be as creative as you like! We used felt tip pens and paper (see below). You could use these or try another idea below:
- Use masking tape, twigs, string, chalk, pencil, crayons, paint it outside with water.
Next find something small that you can pretend is a fly such as:
- Scrunched up paper/ foil
- Milk lids
Throw your fly and if it lands in the web you get 1 point. The first person to reach 5 points wins.
You could ask your child to record their points on paper.
To extend this activity you could have fun changing the rules for example:
- 1 point if you land on the web lines and 0 points if you land in the gaps.
- If your web has different colours then each colour could be worth a different number of points.
