A Brighter Future for Everyone

Today we are learning about the sound 'g', as in gem.

Today it is time to write the beginning of your story! Use your plan from yesterday to help you and remind yourself what you wanted to write.

You will need to start your story with a brilliant opening line. You could use -

Once upon a time..

One day...

Long, long, ago..

Deep in a forest, far, far, away...

After that you will need to introduce your character or characters. Tell us their name, describe what they look like, and their character.

Finally you need to describe the setting of your story. Tell us where your story is happening, what it looks like, smells like etc.

Try to use lots of interesting adjectives in your writing and use compound sentences where you can.

There is a worksheet if you want to use it, or you can use your own, of course.

It's time for a maths activity! You will need some real coins to complete Your Turn tasks.

Wednesday Maths Challenge

Today we are looking at Deciduous and Evergreen trees. Click on the PowerPoint to learn what they are and how to identify them. The PowerPoint asks you to go out and collect leaves, which of course you are not allowed to do. Instead click on the worksheet and there are photos of leaves for you to sort. There are 7 pages to print for this activity so if you don't want to do that you can look at them on the computer, then write the name of the tree on the sorting sheet. Good luck!
