Lesson 7

In this lesson, you will continue to learn about what area means. We will use more formal methods to calculate areas of simple rectilinear shapes. We will use multiplication facts to help us along the way. We will make clear links to arrays and the knowledge of times tables. Make sure you have a sharp pencil and a ruler ready to complete any tasks you will be set.

Open the document "True or false quiz" in the resources section.

Answer the True or False questions on the first page and then answer Questions 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the next page.

I have put the whole story in another document at the bottom of the page in case you need it.

An Important Person - Part 3

This is the third part of a challenge which you began last week.

For this part, I want you to find out what difficulties your person has had to endure (which means deal with) during their life.
