Use Resource 3 to help you plan a newspaper story describing the Volcanic Eruption we learnt about in Topic.

Don't worry if you can't print the sheet, just use it to help you with the heading for the story.

Use the following YouTube links for extra help to plan the Newspaper article:

Click here to access the White Rose Maths lesson.

It is called Perimeter of a Rectangle, so make sure you choose the right one!

Answer the questions on the Worksheet at the bottom of the page.

If you have got the worksheets on paper, you can fill them in.

If not, just answer the questions on any paper that you have.

If you run out of paper, message me on Dojo and we will see what we can do.

Read your reading book for 15 minutes.

Think about what you are reading.

If you come across a difficult word, try to work out what it means by:

  • thinking about the whole sentence
  • is it a noun, verb, adjective or adverb?
  • do the pictures on the page help?
  • think about what the characters in the book might be saying to each other
Ask someone to listen to you read if they have time. Ask them to ask you questions about the book. This will help you to understand it better.

I know about the melting points and boiling points of different substances.

Miss Couves is back with another fabulous lesson.

Click on the picture to access the lesson.

In this lesson, you will learn about how scientists measure temperature, two major 'fixed points' of a substance (melting and boiling point) and how we can determine the state of matter of a substance at a particular temperature when given these fixed points.

Complete this week's activities set by Miss Couves.

At the end of the lesson, click here to complete a quiz to check what you have learnt.
