Activity 1

Read the text carefully and discuss it with someone else. See how much you can make them understand about Rivers.

Activity 2 - Settlements

Give examples of other towns and cities which are built on rivers.

Activity 3 - Energy

Give 2 more examples of renewable energy sources and 2 examples of non-renewable energy sources.

Activity 4 - Farming

From the text, give 2 reasons why farms are located near rivers.

Activity 5 - Transportation

Why is it a good idea to transport goods and materials by river?

Activity 6 - Challenge

Imagine you are sitting next to a busy river. What would you see? Use the text to give you ideas.
