Claremont Primary and Nursery School

A Brighter Future for Everyone

Goodbye Mrs McGerity

We come to the end of another week. It is very strange to be in an nearly empty building and not wearing my suit.  I know that it is strange for all of you too.  Please try to keep positive, stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.  Everything we do contributes to that.  Also please contact the school to let us know if you need any more learning packs.  We will do our best to get them out to you early next week. Finally this week, I have the honour to say goodbye and thank you to another member of staff – Mrs McGerity.  I have only known Mrs McGerity for a relatively short time, but I know that she is an amazingly kind, considerate and committed person – someone who will be greatly missed moving forwards.  She has kindly consented to help us out every now and then when the admin mountain builds too high.  I have two abiding memories of Alison.  Firstly is the enormous commitment she has shown to help me deliver the Newsletter to our families since I have been here.  All I have had to worry about is what I am going to write and that is a huge help.  Secondly is the wonderful theatre trip and Panto that we all took part in.  That was a truly magical experience for our children and I had the privilege of seeing some of our most troubled youngsters have the chance to be children, trapped in the moment of live theatre and the farce of Panto.  Thanks Mrs McGerity
