Step 4

Send me your work if you can.

Step 1

Open the document called "Word Problems" at the bottom of the page. Look at the first 10 questions. Don't panic! Just see how many you could do without any help. Then go to Step 2.

Step 2

Watch the YouTube video called "Word Problems

Step 3

Now try to do the first 10 questions in the document. It is important to show your working, but do not write the question out first.

Good luck.

Do the work in your exercise books or on spare pages of your Maths Homework book.

The following tasks are for challenge only, so please don't worry if you don't have time to do them.
Challenge Task                           Extra Information

Invent a game which children can play at home which uses simple things you could find in most houses.

Here are some ideas:

  • It could be a searching game where you have to collect things as quickly as you can
  • It can be a times tables game where you practice your times tables in a fun way
  • Or a spelling game; it has to be fun remember!
  • An exercise game, but be careful!

Whatever the game, it must be simple and easy for children to play and, most importantly, it must be fun!

Good luck.
