Class Challenge

Get planting

Spring has sprung and it is a fantastic time to start planting.

Mrs Cooper has been in the garden with her children planting sunflower seeds, strawberry seeds and tomato seeds.

We would love to see what you can grow in your garden or on your window ledge.

Here's a really easy way to get planting

All you need is:

Sandwich/zip lock  bag

Dried Bean seeds (you can buy these in the supermarket, they are same as the ones you buy to eat)

Paper towel or cotton wool

Sticky tape

  1. Soak your bean seeds overnight in water
  2. Dampen a paper towel and fold it into the sandwich bag
  3. Place the seeds along one side of the bag, pressing them against the paper towel.
  4. Seal the bag tightly, and hang in a window using tape.

Don't forget to send us your planting pictures so  that we can post them on our page for everyone to see.

Rainbow pictures are springing up across the country! (Wednesday 25th March 2020)

Pictures of rainbows have started springing up in windows after schools closed. We are encouraging Lions and Bears to make your own rainbow and display it in your window to "spread hope". If you want to email us a picture of your rainbow we will put it up here on the website so everyone can see it.
You can also share on Facebook using the hashtag #FromMyWindowNottingham
The teachers are looking forward to seeing your rainbows!
