Ukuleles are fun!
At Claremont school, we think ukuleles are great because they're enjoyable, affordable and perfect for children. Ukuleles are fun to learn and with a little effort, a beginner can quickly master many recognisable tunes.
Ukulele Group's Timetable
The Ukulele Show Orchestra is now available and takes place every Monday 12:30 - 1pm. This provides a brilliant opportunity for children who are enthusiastic and experienced, to further broaden their musical technique and performance skills.
This week the beginners Ukulele Club will be learning songs by Bruno Mars and Ben E king, whilst the orchestra will be tackling this year's pop smash hit 'Perfect', by Ed Sheeran.
Summer Concert Success
This term, the Ukulele Ensemble have been busy learning new songs for a concert held within the school's nursery. This was a brilliant success, with the teachers loving ensemble's rendition of 'Stand By Me' and the nursery children singing along to 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!' Needless to say, the ensemble have been invited back for the End Of The Year Assembly. Well done everybody!
